If you remember the beginning of this Arc all the younger students were supposed to battle Taylor after this exam and they were supposed to be really angry at failing the exam Ed is doing so they were fighting like wild beasts. The Saintess was then supposed to get interested in Taylor by watching his battle with the other students. Well now we have Ed beating up all the students and the Saintess now has shown interest in Ed. Ed unintentionally is taking Taylor’s role in this chapter and has not realized it yet.
