It almost sounded to me as if the attack on Corinth ultimately served to weaken all opponents of the new kingdom.
If there is this “goddess” and she has the ability to communicate with others and has instructed the Marquis to do so, that would be a somewhat implausible possibility.
If the “goddess” was able to bring the spaceship out of hyperspace, she knew it was coming long beforehand through reconnaissance and could have prepared for its arrival.
