This feels like a light novel I read, “Genius Warlock” except he was in…a mine? I think? He gets picked up by some old warlock/necromancer guy to make drugged cigarettes. We’ll see if it turns out like that, if it’s an adaptation my hype will not be contained the light novel is PEAK but the translations stopped ’cause the company got pissy
