I would like to clarify that contusions and lacerations are not the same thing

Contusions: bruises, the skin is intact but the blood vessels under the skin are damaged
Lacerations: open wounds where the skin is torn due to some injury or accident
Incision: clean cut made using a sharp object
Abrasion: when your skin gets scraped by a rough surface (like when you fall down and scrape your knee) or if you put your skin under a lot of weight for prolonged time, it can cause a pressure abrasion. e.g. imagine you’re carrying a really heavy backpack for hours, it can cause the skin on your shoulder to become red and get a pressure abrasion
