As a child, Shin Woo-jin was kidnapped and locked away in a warehouse, forced to live as a slave.

But against all odds, he was rescued and finally stepped into the outside world.

Though free, Woo-jin wasn’t like other children.

this manwha suffers from the same issue that all “genius protag” stories have in that the author isn’t really all that bright so both the writing and the protag don’t actually seem to be as smart as the author tells you they are.

As a non-professional rater (yes) I would give this a 8/10 (VERY BIASED)
B4 I start yapping here are 2 things to note:

I am intensely biased towards this
I do not rate a lot but I rated this one in hopes of improving its reputation

Alr lets start
The first thing most people look at is the art, cuz if its not visually appealing or has enough dopamine to keep yall addicts to stay yall wouldn’t want to read this. And in my opinion, the art really aint the best. I have read more things with much better art but its still acceptable. ART: 7/10

2nd thing is the plot and honestly its quite good. Not for action addicts tho. More like a slow-paced with heavy lore and good life hacks for you. Especially for those interested in psychology (me).

Basically the MC was kidnapped n put in a warehouse with a buncha books over 12 years and bad food. He is eventually saved and then goes on to try to live an “ordinary life” (hes too smart). He helps police solve sm crimes n on the current arc hes tutoring a child w trauma.

In my very biased opinion, PLOT: 8/10

So overall? Story plotline is decent, art aint the best but its ok, updates 3 times each month, some things similiar can be Dr. Frost (finished at 200+ chapters).

Honestly, the first few chapters were completely unique, but after that, everything started to become extremely ordinary. Some parts were even more ordinary than expected. Ordinary MC, ordinary hobbies, ordinary situations. Completely ordinary

An authist can’t see through emotions, thats their characteristic. So this MC is not an authist in a classical way.
Honestly, I don’t like this story. It’s kind of a gloryfication of a sick mind. Nothing good nor worth making a story about. Leading in a tragedy just feels like the author has recently seen “the parfume” and does it more for his own crude masochistic satisfaction then for a good story.
