The Great Mage of the Hero’s Party Reincarnates - Chapter 109

The head of student council Valensydis (spelling might differ here) should be appearing right after this fight and fight with the MC a little to a stand still with the MC seemingly taken one of his arms off but it’s back on in a flash. He’s a dark/black mage and also with Tureina’s group.

Any who after the volleyball arc we get a festival arc which nothing really happens. MC lets the class use a spell he created to use for a haunted house. MC muses that this is all foreign to him since in his previous life he never experienced none of this.

After it’s made known that Valensydis who is the top student will get a chance to visit the royal palace with the Chancellor i.e Kasena’s mom. The MC is frantic on how he can also make it the palace since that’s where his body is and he doesn’t trust Valensydis.

Kasena sees how down the MC over Valensydis going to the palace and devises a plan for both of them to visit the palace since as she put it,”My mom grants all my requests.” So they go as student council representatives. They head off with Pipi joining after the other two have already left.

They arrive and MC spots Valensydis but he’s surrounded by whatever delegation is going on but the MC also sees some elderly figure named Yoshu.

And wham were introduced to dragonkin in the novel. Yoshu also can tell that he’s Lin as he states, “Indeed, much has changed, but the bond of souls remains as it was 300 years ago, Lin.”

They reminiscence and we learn it was Yoshu who sent him Lin’s diary and other belongings. Though the the Holy Dragon, Haraderiman opposed but he told the MC it was to prepare for the age of dragons comes to an end.

He tells Rain that the Abyss is interfering with the Holy Dragon’s abilities to see i.e this is one of the main goals of Tureina besides getting Lin’s body.

Which is odd for me or we’re still left in the dark as far as I’ve read on how she’s been able to clone Lin multiple time if she doesn’t have his body?

Rain informs him he’s already captured which maybe is a mis-translation error because he’s killed them and they look like him.

Yoshu answers,“I am aware, but cannot respond. Your tender heart cannot yet bear the weight of that truth.”

The MC asks him bout the letter Lista left for him but once again Yoshu informs him that nobody may look at it not even Yoshu himself under the order of the Holy Dragon again. When the MC asks why he’s told there will be calamity in our realm once you confront your former self. Foreboding the hell with that statement.

Yoshu does tell the MC that he can grant him a chance to see Lista’s body which the Holy Dragon blessed it so it would never age. Foreboding again.

Anyway as they head to where she’s being kept all hell breaks loose. The MC feels an overwhelming darkness engulfing his vision followed by a tremor that erupted from the ground with screams,

Whatever the darkness touched it either turned people into the undead or vaporized them into nothing. They hurry and meet back up with Kasena and Pipi who created a fire barrier to protect Kasena.

Yoshu and his Holy Dragon cardinals took off into the sky to where the origin of the blast was.

Tureina and her group summoned the Abyss into the world. The MC tries to undo the circle formation using his bloodline Bel Cidius but it’s too complex and any mistake will cost him his life. As he’s trying Tureina appears and he is blasted with whatever the Abyss is made up and the MC is able to cast a new barrier for the three and is blown away.

I don’t think she knew who it was because she dismisses them and tells her followers to handle it. She leaves and heads deeper into the palace she says to herself, “I will save you now, Master.”

When the MC regained consciousness the barrier was still intact but they were quite away from the palace. Pipi started yelling Emergency, emergency, emergency and Rain noticed that it was Valensydis who was covered in a dark aura that had blasted them.

To make it quick because it’s getting way too long. Valensydis having spent time with the MC sort of changed his views on him but they both cannot defy the current of fate unfolding. Then he shoots the darkness or whatever it;s called toward the MC from his hands again. However it was a bluff as it’s directed elsewhere opening a path for the MC and other two who Kasena is still knocked out. Says he sees himself in the MC and leaves. He was going to go after but he notices Kasena has been poisoned by the venom from the Abyss.

As he flees away carrying Kasena some nightmarish form of the Abyss materialized in the sky, bursting open and tearing through dimensions as if birthed from the depths of darkness, causing a throat-choking, viscous substance to cascade down before me.
Right here, directly towards me.It had numerous eyes that MC said seems to pierce into his soul and he heard directly into his mind.

It made the MC collapse to the ground it started lurking forward. Pipi put up a fire barrier because the MC couldn’t move. It slithered over the barrier and it started snapping but as soon as it seemed to break it, everything froze.

Another voice said, “I regret to inform you that I’ll have to leave this land for a brief spell.”

He appeared to be human but he claimed to be the void. The MC described him being clothed in simple white robes, a style none from any continent or race would wear.
Yet those glasses, seemingly more advanced than any civilization I had encountered, exuded an air of unsettling sophistication. His features blurred between light and shadow, rendering him nearly unrecognizable, yet it was obvious he was a being of another tier.

Another long story short it was he who resurrected Rain to this time so he could not to prevent the cataclysm, but to record and convey the light of the final age. Then he put is finger tip to MC’s forehead and said he’s sending him far away to a rough terrain. Everything went back and as he was fading away he heard him say, “Now, it has begun…your century-long journey.”

That’s it for now even though I read far past this. I’ve probably already wrote too much but it is what it is.
