It’s aight, I like the artstyle, the story is kind of shallow, a classic case of a protagonist with no depth, the antagonist makes for an interesting character tho, it would need a significant amount of polishing to become impactful, still a good read, nothing too crazy for now

Dont recommend this manga. The MC even if he possesed a different body and has lower mana compared to his original, he has much more battle experience, and saw monsters normal people didn’t.
Now at chapter 33 he gets PTSD from the big rat monster, which has dark magic in it, while his companions almost get eaten alive, and againt the boss monster he doesn’t use techniques he showed in the previous chapters, like immobilizing the monster by making the ground muddy and let it sink into it, or using the special fire magic which melts his opponents inside.
After chapter 33 I dropped it, the MC doesnt show any battle experience at all, while he was fighint along the past heroes, and is too weak.
This was really peak for me (I forgot where I left 70/80 ch?) 9.5/10
The author is making mc way too weak, if he was a great mage hero, he should be cooking them not losing? but he keeps getting destroyed by some random dark mages that are HIS AGE or YOUNGER while he is the top of his class, with mage nobles and the like. important schools here and famous schools there, beaten by mc.
then random dark mage kid that USE MC’S OLD MAGIC comes, and mc is suddently weak, emotional and pathetic.

This manga is hard to rate, a single number doesn’t really explain it. There are some moments of sheer brilliance in this manga where you’re totally entranced by it, crying along, can’t stop reading. 4.9/5 rating moments. But the stuff in between is sometimes SO stupid to read and riddled with plot holes and dumb writing, that you’re left wondering “when did I click on a 3.5 rated manga?!” If you can just let the plot holes go, the awesome moments make this story so good. But if you latch onto things like that you’ll pull your hair out with this one.
I really liked this. IDK why but I just do. Deserves at least a 4.5 even if it’s a little slow at times.

I might be a psychopath but I enjoyed reading the first few chapters. The first chapters is what got me hooked tbh
I really like this manhwa.
First of all, the story isn’t unique and contain powers popularly known. It’s mainly the past and the academy (so far) that make things interesting. The MC progression is slow. His body training just started, he barely has ANY MANA and recently got a buff for it which he should’ve saved it. He is too worried about the past when he can barely handle 4 star spells without needing to sacrifice half his life span as if it was a shinigami deal.
What I do like, the characters, the interesting past, the fun stories of his old comrades. The strong characters in the story who are mysterious. How does the MC cope with completely trash mana capacity (he doesn’t actually, his mana capacity restarted cause it’s an reincarnation kind of thing.) The MC is the embodiment of mage done right (in my opinion). Also the stories left by his friend after his death are really sad. I wished the MC focused on training, doing research, I feel like his schedule is packed bro.
The most annoying part of this story is too many memory trips.
And second to that is that the mc is weak as heck. Makes few spells and is out of mana.
Also then there is this Unique Magic that started from 33% and is now around 44% so for it to reach 100% it will take at least 1000 chapters in this story cause mc is too weak and every time he fights he goes with the maximum mana use spells so after one spell he be out of mana. Then mc think he needs to fight more living beings for the Unique Magic percent to go up but it is actually more of the scan spells and do magic then fight living beings cause it goes up more only when mc make one big spell that makes him pass out in the end.
Also the power difference in the world is just insane. Black magic mages are so op that can continuously cast spells half a day with no mana or stamina lost. Can take hits that send them flying trough walls and that is nothing to them and still go on with no limit on magic
