Nice transitional chapters, im betting valen isnt evil, but created or augmented by dark magic. Also love the little bit of foreshadowing and world building. I think next few chapters will be school ones where he grows a bit more since after each big battle he gets quite a bit stronger. I hope author keeps the steady pace, too many stories now a days feels like they are rushing thier stories.
