Kinda weird they choose this event to drag out, in the light novel, it was short and sweet. Only reason i can think of, is they want to give side characters more screen time?

Bruh such a let down barely anything important happened and there one thing that could have been cool (Rain scroll) is boring like bro earth wall is something all earth mages have mastered in preschool and honestly it’s useful but the others had better scrolls and the only way to recover this is to give him extra points for saving the two and even then I don’t know if he should win at best if I’m honest his placement would be third
So the scroll that kept us in suspense is a f*cking scroll that creates a f*cking circular wall of earth…….. 
Please, that scroll could have been easily made by Krista, you can’t tell me otherwise, there is no chance that raising a circular wall is more difficult than making a conscious and moldable earth golem. And don’t tell me that because the MC used it at the most critical moment it’s going to sell like never before, it’s g*rbage, I was expecting something that would cancel the magic, not a damn wall thick like noodle 
If the MC wins this test this is going to be the most inconsistent sh1t manga has ever pulled out
