Summary

After reading to ch. 142:

I really enjoyed this from the first chapter, then suddenly it became clear it was placed in the world of and the same time as another gem, the peerless dad, and the universe really took off.

A group of children is taken in by an old man. We follow them all, seeing their strengths and weaknesses from childhood. This is not a story for those who wants an MC who does it all and is an expert in all.

Sometimes I wondered if there were missing chapters which was confusing but reading on it all came together.

There is more philosophical discussions than fights, more family dynamics than war and more personal development than weapons.

An really unique way of seing the heavenly demon and its cult.

When I got to the end I was thirsty for more and hope they will keep on going for a long time.

I actually quite like this series, it’s a slow pace growth from negative to Murim hero type reading. It talks about a an old man, but it’s centered around the kids growing up instead.

Pacing is definitely slow. Prolly won’t cater to iPad kids who wants instant gratification of an op mc from the start. Funny how somewhere through the 6th or 7th chapter someone one complaining it’s a copy of Peerless dad when it’s literally from the same universe and timeline.
