Again a lot of propaganda here with the whole commune stuff. Please remember that the economic system implemented by all of the larger communist states (think USSR and Mao-era China) failed due to economic collapse. Communism is objectively a failed economic system that fails to create incentives for people to work hard. The only reason why China today is any sort of prosperous is because Deng Xiaoping managed to reform the economy by privatizing previously state-owned businesses so that the economy could prosper in a free-market. In other words, “Communist” China implemented a capitalist system to save itself.
Of course, as discussed in previous chapters, capitalism is not without its own issues (See America’s massive wealth gap), but at least it doesn’t cause widespread economic collapse within a decade or three.
