Kinda crazy how a secret society with access to ancient, advanced technology, is willing to wage war against an entire country — just to maintain their slave-culture.
Quite literally that’s the only objective. To have “free labor”.
Seems redundant when you have access to outworldly tech, in a world with magic, too, at that.
One of the things that consistently bother me about this setting, tbh. The top echelon of humanity’s insistent desire to maintain the humanoid species as the bottom-feeders is a touch way too aggressive.
