This is great. It doesn’t really do anything totally original, but everything it does is done exceptionally well.

Plot 9/10 (gets better as story progresses)

Would definitely recommend a read, can’t wait for more chapters (at ch. 39 rn). Everything it does is handled tastefully as well.

Everyone that has read a reincarnation manhwa before knows what beats to expected. Training, treasure hunting, facing past rivals. It’s clearly one of the better ones at a glance, but what sets it apart is the theme, the MC and nature as a teacher to the people around him.

He’s a gentle soul that aspires to end the long-standing slavery of fantasy races, confronting the history he’s lost with a sense of melancholy, and yet is willing to fight if it’s necessary. The characters around him, especially the human ones, learn and challenged to confront their biases. It’s beautiful.

There’s not as many cliff-hangers as people are used to. It doesn’t have to manipulate you into reading more — it knows it’s good.

for me, it sits alongside “I Became the Tyrant of a Defense Game” as one of the two greats

the theme is freeing fantasy races from human slavery. even if you don’t like this (i think it is dumb), you can still enjoy the magic, the martial arts, and the story, which is quite good. the art is good, the characters are memorable, and even long term characters can die.

i went on to read the novel and i’m enjoying that immensely. the first arc ends around chapter 400 which is where i’ve decided to pen this review.
criticisms… i wish the mc was more of a womanizer and less interested in morality. it describes the cultures of the different races in detail but that was uninteresting to me.

i recommend it

7.9/10, its one of the better regression/reincarnation power fantasies. An actual goal for the mc, and decent story. Art is decent, and characters are for the most part alright. There are others I’ve liked more, but read it if you have the time, you’ll probably like it.

11: My favorite manga/manhwa of all time, forever.
10: Stop. Read. Now.
9: An outstanding performance in every single category, and more.
8: A work of art that perhaps is not fully fleshed out, but pretty close.
7: Very good, and definitely give it a read when possible.
6: Fun, engaging, but nothing special.
5: Decent, but somewhat boring. I liked it, but you might not.
4: Questionable, but I won’t tell you not to read it.
3: I definitely wouldn’t recommend you read this, but it could be worse.
2: It couldn’t be worse.
1: At this point, why bother?
0: Avoid at all possible costs. Read at your own risk.

Why are there so many hating on this awesome story? The art is great, but the characters, setting and also fights are amazing as well. I think the writing and characters in this are far better than what Solo leveling had, with what seems to me, better art, and there are people hating on this?
The setting itself has a lot of detail in it, the discrimination and short-sightedness in people is done extremely well and the dark side in humans as well..The world building feels top tier, combined with fun characters and awesome art – what is there to hate?…

Like i said, good art is not justification to love a manhwa. You guys are going to suffer reading through a nothing burger with awful story/plot. Just cause you love the art? Just go to a museum if you love art that much lol. In a while this manhwa will be dead.
