As long as his power up isn’t some dumb shit like, his sister was scared for his life and shared her powers with him. Although it would somewhat fit the theme of this story, it would feel cheap and lessen his personal character growth.
Hopefully It’s something like he can use energy he’s absorbed from returnee’s for a certain amount of time, or maybe it’s more of a psychological thing, where he’s slowly breaking his mental chains of feeling inadequate/inferior. And that’s releasing more of his potential.
my theory on MCs powerup is not that he reawakened but that his chains that suppress returnee powers also allows him to absorb those powers and strengthen his chains and himself temporarily with the amount of power absorbed.
Wait how dangerous is bro ability? Because if the dad a mages, could he had limint his son ability, because it weakened other and his a bit as well?
