So many people angry to mc here the explanation :
He maybe the last sage but not the strongest sage ,the strongest sage is his senpai sage that live in the past who protect the country alone with barrier & the one who bring MC to the future.
He is just training to beat Maou so it’s just potential to beat,not like he’s already successful beat the real one

This is an embarrassment, did lost than decided that he wouldn’t use magic and yet lost again… like someone said last chapter he was raised to kill the demon lord, yet loses to someone random, shouldn’t and wouldn’t he be stronger?
