I honestly thought this was gonna turn out to be a regression. When he first started to see that place/village in a -dream-like state, i thought it was him in a previous life, maybe somehow renounced his status/heritage, maybe something terrible happened, couldn’t get revenge as weak as he was, and he started to train until he died with sword in his hand. So he was gonna inherit the training and the sword techniques etc, unlock his potential early on and prevent the catastrophe.Yeah the usual gimmick I know but I love that theme. This version has him finishing someonelse’s anicent agenda. Lets say he decided to do so; I mean it doesnt sound as potent as it would be when his loved ones’ lives were at stakes. Not when someone else’s vengeance was left to him. :/
