for those curious,
about knowledges
there are 5 type of knowledge (and each one is exclusive to one classe) basic advenced high end cutting edge and ultimate each one being from a different type of civilisation.
basic to modern world (ours)
advenced exclusive to military of more advenced civilisation ( still at planet/ star sytem level)
high end to star system to multiple star system level
cutting edge to star cluster type civilisation (who controls one galaxy )
ultimate to civilisation who controls multiple galaxy
basic to modern world (ours)

also for most player, acquiring all knowledges and maxing them is impossible exp-wise
