They are missing the commanders calling out the changes in tactics of the battle formations to adjust strategies…  based on the types of beasts in each wave…

Trying to show it ALL with pictures only? That is piling ALOT of extra work on the artist & requires them to have strong grasp/understanding of the novel…

(If the artist hasnt read the novel and is just going chapter by chapter… they’ll miss the opportunity to add in tidbits and details for big emotional payoffs in future chapters & going back FROM later chapters to double check or reread a 2nd time with more/different enjoyment the 2nd time round, due to noticing previously secret parts.
 
I seems like that’s where the frustration of novel readers is coming from… wanting to see/looking for details of the secret hints for later big reveals… and where they expect to see one… they instead have skipped that part? (Maybe to use as flashback later?)
 
So people don’t HAVE to read it a 2nd time? Since then that tidb will only show up closer to later chapters for short attention span readers or those who forgot what happened since the last time checking for manga updated chapters?
