What I love about this story is it’s actually feasible for it to become a game like civ 6 except you’re a god with a lot more moving mechanics

I like that players are not really into the competition like in a game. It seems to me they want to survive and security before actually going against the system or at least try a peaceful agreement for all the players to survive the system.
