Lol the protagonist had the same guess as me, I know what fire dude was thinking but I thought it would be too cliche and that maybe there could a plot twist of him becoming the king but since he doesn’t care he’ll give the right to somebody else

Fun fact: that’s the story of Oedipus, he runs away from his step-parents after he comes to know about the prophecy because he doesn’t want it to come true. While on the run, he gets into a fight with someone and kills the person in a fit of rage. Then he eventually finds an old widow he falls in love with and marries her.
That man he killed, was his father, and the widow he married was his mother. Thus fulfilling the prophecy.
That’s where the term “Oedipus Complex” comes from.
It’s defined as,
The attachment of the child to the parent of the opposite sex, accompanied by envious, resentful, and aggressive feelings toward the parent of the same sex.
If it’s any consolation, Oedipus was horrified when he learned he had married his own mother and killed his own father. I don’t remember what exactly he did after realising.
So we casually got incest in the first prophecy or sample prophecy??? I mean who cares most royal families are almost been kept as ‘pure’ bloods
