Honestly, the design of this old god is focking awesome, i wouldnt be all that much against the lizardmen being defeated once by him, but the plot armor is fine too, i guess.

Normally this kinda thing gives me the “uff, here comes another forced plot twist” but the way this twist was handled truly made it feel like a miracle 👏 not a forced plot, very well done handling the orchestration of the plot, hinting at a reasonable explanation for the miracle and fitting it within reasonable bounds of the plot.

Just like the start, faith is everything.
Oh come on. This is not so good storytelling. Deus ex machina, armor plot, just new flashy miracle and almost against the rules new exception.
It is still fun though.
