See, I wouldn’t mind MC being a scammer if he didn’t act so noble. Everything before his reincarnation makes him seem like a saint, protecting his people and turning the trade town into a free town…
But in reality the MC extorts villages and the common people, and he would never free the trade town because it wouldn’t benefit him because he was allied with the nobles (unless it was all done for Ban’s loyalty? I could see that tbh)
