Summary

A brief description of the manhwa The Rebirth of an 8th-Circled Mage:

Henry Maurice was an 8-circled archmage who was a legend- one of the founding fathers who helped his friend become the king of a unified empire. After the son took over the throne, Henry was executed with the false accusation of leading a rebellion against the empire.

He then wakes up in the body of young Henry Morris, the eldest of a baronet family, who also happened to have the same name. Henry turns his life around by again relearning magic and also swordsmanship in order to become the first magic swordsman, all for the sake of revenge.

I loved this series, it has a quite fast pacing (sometimes too fast in key battles). The plot is very dense, not too cliche and full of rebounds.
The MC has a shitty personality in the beginning but it gets better through the story.

Also its completed and does not run around in circles.

Overall, the anime does in fact start off weak, but it does get a lot better. The MC kind of ruins it overall…But it’s a great plot.

It starts off pretty weak, it’s pretty bad at hooking people to read it plus, the actions of the mc is illogical. Is it worth it? I would say the 4.3 rating isnt, it should be atleast 3.6 and it’s worse than

so didn’t get very far. initial chapters are basically this. MC wakes up in someone elses body without the memories of the body. immediately starts kicking and beating someone for not doing their job that he doesn’t actually know the details of. get’s petty and angry when family laughs he’s not acting like himself and would probably embaress himself in a fight with his brother.

It’s basically entitled reincarnater assumes he deserves a tonne of respect when it’s increasingly clear not only does he know nothing about the people around him but, the body he hijacked belonged to someone who had no expectations of being anything other than lazy and unremarkable.

Some might enjoy it but, yeah the sense of entitlement here isn’t endearing. If I wanted to listen to grumpy old men who demand more respect than they actually deserve I’d watch a mainstream political debate.
