What is kind and what is not is questionable in other moral views
Kind in demons = Torture them until they beg for mercy. Let them go. Come back to them 6 months later when they learnt to appreciate family and everything around them. Go there and torture everyone he knows slowly until they beg for death. Kill them 3 day later when they started to beg for death. Untie all of them and ask them to line up if they want to die (should be all of them). Look into the victims eyes and kill all of them licking the blood off the knife or thing at every kill. Watch them scream in absolute agony as they probably say “please… no more… why… Why!” as they plot their revenge in their head. Pick their head up, smile the biggest smile in your life and kill them the slow way and laugh of as they go to the underworld or heaven
Kind in angels = Let them live even though they may tried to kill you 13254 times and forgive them of all their sins they committed… again.
(Will kill them in cold blood if they have sinned the lord and disapproves of Gods existence)

I think it’s weird that you guys think this is unkind?
He’s doing violence, sure. But not unkind, why is it unkind to retaliate in kind? If the other slap your cheeks I think it’s more common than not to retaliate especially for someone who knows nothing of kindness. From the synopsis think it’s more he’ll try learn to be kind. 
But maybe I’m wrong?
Personally more interested in what the hero said 
I think there’s more to that I’m surprised no one commented on it. Also I think it’s more fun if his progression will be a villian with morals rather than a good guy though. After all kindness is a tittle I think you just get from others, but still nice if it’s not.
Goofy ahh Hero monologues like a villain and allows the Demon Lord to do something insane… looks like their quality is at an all time low this days
