In the novel, there are no scene like this, yet in this manhwa and yet, they are trying to portray that Ghislain will become the knight and shining armor of Marquis daughter. Weird, but okay.

I love this author a lot 
this series is the only one who not trapped by cliche mindset, in other series scene like this only have one result which is the villain able to run because of plot armor and a lot of case in the previous chapter of this series that my brain keep telling me “ah f%$k this is where the ass wipe will able o run somehow unharmed none the less with big grin in their face” but NO the result always two either the villain head got chopped or they manage to run with missing limbs, this is how regressed MC should be always in control even if the plot require MC to be defeated or struggle at the very least the experience from the previous live should always give a result.
