Summary

A brief description of the manhwa The Regressed Mercenary’s Machinations:

Ghislain Perdium, the Mercenary King and one of the continent’s top seven, started a great war in an attempt to avenge his fallen family. His plans of revenge were going smoothly until he was slain by Idun, who he had never expected to make an appearance. Ghislain thought he died, but he woke up as a younger version of himself from before the fall of his household. With this second chance, he decided to fix all the wrong pieces of the puzzle and avoid making the same mistakes he did in his past life!

Fighting choreography is this manhwa’s main thing for now. Genuinely very good shit. Story line is fine, but pretty standard. So, art and aforementioned fights will carry this one hard, unless plot thickens.
Though i’d suggest to wait for a bit more chapters, like ~5-10.

7.1/10, although to be fair, only 14 chapters released. amazing art, for one. like genuinely just incredible. storyline is decent, few holes but could be worse. love it so far, definitely something you should give a chance.

11: My favorite manga/manhwa of all time, forever.
10: Stop. Read. Now.
9: An outstanding performance in every single category, and more.
8: A work of art that perhaps is not fully fleshed out, but pretty close.
7: Very good, and definitely give it a read when possible.
6: Fun, engaging, but nothing special.
5: Decent, but somewhat boring. I liked it, but you might not.
4: Questionable, but I won’t tell you not to read it.
3: I definitely wouldn’t recommend you read this, but it could be worse.

1: At this point, why bother?
0: Avoid at all possible costs. Read at your own risk.

Fan service, 3/10. Exists, barely. But, its there already.

This story is legit very good, it’s interesting, it has PEAK fight scenes of people actually using real life fighting styles instead of just super powers, and the art is awesome and great

The author really does understand a thing or two about actual swordsmanship :Rayn: .

That’s something rarely seen.. most just slap a grandiose name and some flashy effects on some basic movements and call it an ultimate secret technique..

This has great art. Peak fighting choreography, a decent enough plot to hold it together. A ruthless MC and actual swordsmanship..

All in all I would rate this 8/10 with the potential to reach 9/10

The cringe is hella strong in this one

I counted about 12 plotholes (5 major and 7 minor ones) till the end of chapter 9.

(two bonus points: one for nice references and the other for the art. Story is very close to “below mid”)

HOLY SHIT I CAME HERE NOT EXPECTING MUCH BUT GOD DAMN, THESE AUTHORS ARE JUST FLEXING THEIR IQ AND ART. Also they put a lot of effort into feet for some reason
The art was mid at first but it grew on me and it grew too much that I crave more. 10/10 (that’s the max rating I could give, if I could give more it would be like 20/10)

Drop the manga on Chapter 2, he was called useless but he can fights well and even if you know the orcs weak spots with those thick muscle how does he have the strength to slice them like butter even the armor of that orc he slashed it just like that.
