I liked this story more before the author had to make the moms backstory more annoying. Couldn’t she have just been an unfortunate innocent caring mom to look up to? Did he really have to make her irresponsible

I think the biggest pothole here is that the dude he wants to get revenge on will be like 60-70 years old when he is like 20 years old. Like dude’s while plan is to beat up an old ass man.
Honestly her biggest mistake was breaking her own cultivation, she should’ve just run away and kept her magic.
Gave up her pride, status, career, family, potential and nearly her life for what exactly? Just some guy with rizz? Children don’t give up on ur aspirations for a S.O. You can make sacrifices yes, but this lady put herself in a position to where she had nothing outside of him when he barely has anything himself. It’s even sadder when u read the implication that if she wasn’t pregnant, she might’ve been able to fight off the assailants that her man died to. That’s actually grim.
So is the implication that the event that broke his chains in the last life supposed to be that he killed this life’s father? Am I the only one that gets that feeling?
