Interesting. I didin’t see the issue of Post-Traumatic Stress coming up in this manga. Maybe I should have. The person, whom he took the body from had issues but overall most manga never touch on what ‘killing’ does to a person. Killing is not easy. That’s why we ‘game-ify’ it in our everyday entertainment and de-humanize and/or insure the killing is ‘at distance’ in real life. It’s a know fact that nearly 20% of all trained snipers, that have actually ‘sniped’ someone, never continue as snipers. Staring closely at those you kill stays with you. They will continue to stare back, long after their eyes close forever. Now imagine rendering flesh with your own hand. Doing it to another, over and over…now imagine you are also someone who hasn’t even got into a real fist-fight in your life and video games are the only ‘violence’ you have every visited on another grown person? Nice change of pace. I’ll like to see where this goes…
Honestly, he acts like he’s some badass, battle-hardened murdering chad. This feels like it’s coming from nowhere. If this were a serious issue, I feel like we should have noticed some warning signs beforehand. It should have been woven into the narrative. I don’t believe he’s killed that many people, has he? But then again, I suppose I probably have not been paying very close attention.
