I honestly can’t tell what these characters are. Are they random adventurer thugs that pick on the mc like we’ve seen in a million of these series by now. Are they just regular adventurers who felt insulted by the mc’s actions? Are they reoccurring characters that we’ll be interacting with more? The past few pages were spent developing them so either they are or they’re just padding for time.

For a second there, I thought it would be the joke where they’re ugly as sin and look like brutes but are actually nice people.
