MC fails to understand logistics
MC wastes time with food decorations – this makes the author come across as clueless.
MC should have just hunted food – cheaper/easier (okay processing it might be a hassle, but he should be familiar with it based on his early background – it is not like he came from modern Japan and needs a butcher to do it for him.
