They all seem to underestimate the Demon King a bit…..
I mean Granbaza, the strongest General to ever exist. Matched with the currently strongest her(except MC and his Wife). And even Granbaza would dream of matching the Demon King. I mean just look how he perceived the demon king.
From his perspective he looked like a gaint monster… and thats just how he sees his power.
What could the new hero party possibly do? May be barely match the new generation demon generals. But after that?.
Granbaza can take them out, easy peasy and even after that comes a being that lived several centuries and was the one possible for granting demons magic.

The guild director didn’t see this in a long run, the guild will be obsolete when the Demon Lord has been defeated / killed, he will lose his position & all the economy involve with the process to subjugate the Demon Lord will be lost & recession will come to humans which had relied on this process for decades.
I think humans are the real demons here, the Demon Lord is a force of nature, where humans are trying to control it.
