The MC could’ve requested for gold, lots of materials, free access to the treasury, a fiefdom (just an example) or whatever his heart desires and he’s like -“well can you give me some land for a small workshop for saving you life, feeding you priceless potions, saving your kingdom and assassinating your major opponent”.. it’s nonsensical writing IMHO..
