That’s a really good question. What countryside did the mc grow in? Maybe countryside is more than where mc grew in.

I’m sure it is besides the point of the story but why not dye one of them a different hair color…? Maybe give the other a buzz cut and dress in gender neutral clothes, make them look like siblings but not twins.
