I have no simpathy for the both of them. It is now proven that the princess is the reincarnation of the mad Quenn and thus the palace action were justified and sensible.
Although without guilt herself, it is clear that no matter how many times she is able to calm down she remains a threat to everyone around her and herself, and has already done significant damage. There is no way of knowing if she will always be able to calm donw also. Reclusion far away from anithing that contains mana is the best choice.
