I feel like is just one long prologue to show the political set up of the underworld before the MC comes in to clean house. Either way, I think it would have been beneficial to at least have a tad bit of what the MC currently doing to at least give a central point for the story to revolve around.
Still interesting as long as you are in the mood for this game of thrones style story
