I’d like to contribute a theory, I think the scene that was shown to Ho when he entered was meant to show the difference between an S rank and the SSS rank is ‘faith’ that can be used in as holy power and that this stage is meant to show him what and maybe how to use ‘faith’.
Theory: there are no S ranks. Its just a rank made up to inspire hope and keep people calm.

Sounds like a terrible idea, logistics all wrong. How can s ranks undo a sacrifice seal done by an sss rank. Then they also gonna destroy the same asteroid the sss rank couldn’t destroy and had to seal.
