i guess he didn’t think about the fact that defeating an opponent can be done through not only combat but lovemaking too he could have easily passed this get a companion and decrease the difficulty a lot

Honestly, think about it. If he agrees to be the lizard’s husband, not only does he get to smash that lizard but he also gets a free lizard companion to accompany him on his journey through the tutorial world. I assume that becoming the lizard’s husband would count as a sort of passive pass of the floor, and if so, then it would just be nice to have a lizard around because he would have someone to talk to and a wife. I personally think it’s a win-win scenario

Damn, he felt remorse about killing goblins without thinking about their humanity, and then he turns around and resolves himself to kill this lizard woman because she’s interested in getting smashed by him? I guess it’s true that empathy towards some does not preclude prejudices towards others. I feel like he could still come to an understanding with her even if he’s not interested in smashing, rather than jumping straight to murder
