The Tutorial is Too Hard - Chapter 69
Comments for chapter "Chapter 69"
By the way, this is exactly the origin of the Asian tower (dungeon) stories.
For reasons (it varies*// also:that expression will come up a lot) the hero needs to go to the top of a tower. But each storey is filled with fighters protecting the tower. For reasons he can’t climb up on the outside. And for reasons the fighters won’t go down a level.
Each floor can either be filled with lots of träsh fighters the hero can dispatch with only few strikes, or it can be an extremely strong fighter the hero struggles against, but overcome after an intense fight. For reasons the weakest fighters are at the bottom, the strongest is at the top.
There were a lot of these films back in the … 70s, I guess.
*= Can be:
- The big baddy, who oppresses people.
- The love interest abducted to there.
- Unfathomable riches, ready to steal.
- To prove the hero is the best fighter. (See dojo destruction / dojo sign theft)
- For funsies. He is the hero, there is a tower. Hero must go up tower because it exists. (Hey, it’s an action fighting movie. The people are watching for the fighting, not the backstory.)
Ironically this is, in this chapter, not arranged in a tower, but a series of rooms.
