I mean we kinda already figured they were being bullied by the staff again, just mentally this time instead of physically. Most of us who have read this type of story before know the whole “everyone gets schooled by the older family members of the MC” trope so we all saw this coming.
I think this would have been better written if we got more perspective from the servants side as to what is going on. Stories told purely from the perspective of the MC tends to infuriate me because very few are done that well at all.
