This is a different world to him. Since he retains the memory of his past life, that could be what is making him seems naive as some commented. Maybe the Master will fix his mentality where necessary.
Hmmmmm well his family is probably going to get destroyed. The village too. He will leave with the assassin and after a long amount of time emerge a badass? Hopefully. It will be hard to keep reading this if he stays the way he is which is shockingly naive and extremely short-sighted considering he’s on his second life

He hasn’t ever been trained with a sword and fights with his fists, yet he grabs his sword every time, which doesn’t make any logical sense since in high stress situations one will always fall back to what they are most comfortable with
