Reaper of the Drifting Moon

I binged read until chapter 88 before writing this review.

‘Reaper of the Drifting Moon’ is about a kidnapped child forced to become an assassin seeking revenge. While the base story isn’t new, what amazed me is how the author strives to make everything organic. It’s meticulous and detailed, with everything interconnected. It seems as though the author either meticulously notes every detail about their creation or has an exceptional memory. Additionally, the admirable storytelling skill makes the entire story feel real and exciting.

On the other hand, 80% of the plot revolves around either revenge or the MC defending himself against individuals ignorant of the MC’s abilities. This plot is somewhat repetitive and predictable. However, due to its frequent occurrence, this manhua will focuses on fighting, politics, and conflicts—the essence of the Murim world, as some would say. Although the politics aren’t overly complex, the fights are vivid and flashy, leading me to wonder if MC could be good candidate to be another ‘atomic.’

Character development is also commendable. Sometimes, entire chapters are dedicated to this aspect, even for side characters.

As for the artwork, it’s the best part of this manhua. Not only is it highly detailed, but the action scenes, which occur frequently, are made even more impressive with the quality of the art. However, there are some minor inconsistencies in coloring and shapes, but they are easily overlooked by readers.

Undoubtedly one of the best pieces on this site, I highly recommend this, especially if you are looking for “Killing Everytime” manhua. Just try to read one chapter, and you’ll understand why
