Unless the story progresses to something like finding a merchant stall full of cursed jewelry from a blacksmith who has a good reason, like it’s an enemy nation’s merchant trying to basically ruin the nation from the inside out, these debuff jewelry pieces are so corny and cliche it’s hard not to roll your eyes.
