well, the FMC showed some signs of corruption when the petite hero sayd she’d go for the BS so probably that’s the reason of the other bs killing the hero. And i suspect the villains to be either corrupt heroes or corrupt holy weapons.

I knew that he would find a blueprint….
As to why the blacksmith killed the hero, I suspect the hero either turned evil, or was forced to fight against the blacksmith.
I feel like MC comment “I would never kill the hero” is kinda a flag
