I appreciate the story dedicating time to show the party is actively trying to get better to try and match MC verses them just saying their getting stronger in the background

And yeah bro you ain’t the hero anymore since you didn’t participate in the emergency request as required and you just suck. The two girls that are still with him must be actually brain dead.
I love that the story is focusing on the ensemble as of late. Too many comics focus on the protagonist and worshiping him. It’s nice to see a diversity of perspectives and stories.
I think he’s got that a bit wrong. The problem he has is that now everyone can actually see his ‘value’… and unfortunately it’s not very high…
