This training is dumb. It is not actually practice for any specific skill or to teach teamwork to existing teams/new members. They are just planning on doing what they do every day, for normal work. It is apparent that the average magic user has no idea how to adapt, invent or evolve magic and almost nobody can use a subspace pocket. Why not teach useful things that are not well known or properly evaluate how the teams actually operate? This idea feels like the author is just adding filler.
