The romance was absolutely pointless in this story. They may have well just made his bff into his boyfriend, the guy has more character development and screen time.

The romance, or lack there of, was definitely a carrot and the stick for the first Arc of the story.

The whole “reinventing/reimagining every concept and idea” for 2nd Arc until now has been…interesting.. but made me a bit not as engaged as i was the first season/arc.

Lets hope the author isnt reinventing the wheel next Arc because imho it isnt deep or nuanced or profound. Perhaps the source material is better which im sure it is. Still….

Art = 9-10/10 top tier Redice and 3B2S. My one criticism is too many purples and pinks. Lots of pink power…

Story = 5/10 imho its not original or profound. Its entertaining but all of the redefining makes for stale, boring info dumps and exposition

Overall = 7/10 , love the art, action is entertaining. First arc really goes hard but dwindles later on with all of the reinventing of the wheel.
