The world building doesn’t make sense..
If it was a matriarchal society and women had all the power then why would the prince assend the thrown??
Should the princess that becomes queen and whoever she marries would be consort(s).
The story would have worked better if the pronce was just seen as high nobility that all the girls wanted to marry to have a trophy husband, or maybe to become queen regent if there were no princesses…
