Well… I wonder how he survived with half his armor MELTING
Mythrill should have a melting point much higher than the average melting (else it wouldn’t be be a famous imaginary metal if it had such a weakness), so that soldier should have been instantly cooked, I mean, reduced to ashes by that :lolchik:

for it to be a famous fantasy metal, it would need to out perform originally existing metals, tungsten has one of highest melting points.
but many “fantasy settings only get into wood, leather, bronze, copper, iron and steel” and then “monster materials” before they start calling stuff…
mithril = titanium or alloy with it.
oricalthum = titanium/gold alloy 10x stronger than titanuim
adamantium = tungsten / gold alloy?
showcases the hero by having them irresponsibly use way to much force in a duel… could literally have won it by flicking a finger without destroying the enemies armor for no reason.
and “first time casting magic” meaning they have been mistreated by the people handling the hero, or they would have helped them control /practice it before on a NON living target,
it would be like inventing a nuke and deciding firdt test should be in the middle pf a populated city instead of a deserted wasteland.
