Hmmm… Technically if he becomes the hero’s closest friend, he can possibly guide him in a better way and avoid him from destroying the world, this way he could gain a powerful ally AND save the world, it would be 2 birds in 1 stone.

Well he will just guide him probably, then the goddes will interfere becouse he will not want to kill him. Or hero will somehow find out, he suppose to kill him. Then they recolect or fight the Goddess probably something like this happens.
