I love this reality check…. it feels like it’s not just a fantasy story somehow.. 
Maybe it’s from Spiderman but peoplealways seem to think spider webs will solve engineering problems.
A cobweb doesn’t last long before being damaged or decaying – at least beyond a state that is useful.
A case in point… a fly can break a cobweb if it’s persisitent enough.
A spider can make a new cobweb every day because of this.
Sure, for the size the web might be strong… but strong enough and durable enough to hold stones for several years?
I mean, the sword aura, orcs, elves, dinosaurs, fantasy gacha animals and mastodons are believable… but durable spider webs… the believability just went way down.
